Group Therapy prescribed by the Doctors @ Aepios

Aepios is geared toward connecting people newly diagnosed with a condition to those who have been living with the same condition. This allows individuals to reap the benefits of group therapy from the comfort of their own homes. What are some of the benefits of group therapy?

We are living in a time where we are more connected to people all over the world while simultaneously feeling the most alone. One of the biggest advantages group therapy can provide is to make you realize that you are not alone. There are so many people going through the exact same thing you are going through. The only way to take advantage of this and take the first few steps toward recovery is to share. Talking about your experience, feelings and thoughts can help you in a multifactorial way.

First and foremost is the realization that you are not alone. There are so many people with similar stories that are facing similar circumstances as you. Sharing your story with others and talking to them can help build a support system. This can be the circle of people you turn to when you need someone to lean on. Another benefit comes in the form of helping others and indirectly helping yourself heal. Your story can serve as a resource from which others can find help and support each other. Talking to others can give you a fresh perspective on life as everyone who comes across your story will have different feedback. Ultimately group therapy like anything else in life is what you make of it. The more you share and engage the more likely you are to reap the benefits.

I’m looking for a support group that shares the same anxiety as myself. I’m always anxious and worrying. I was fine until my daughter was diagnosed with cancer almost five years ago. Now I’m an anxious mess who worries nonstop. I need some relief

I just joined today. I can relate to some extent to what you going through; I am not trying to compare, just feeling compassion for you. You can tell me more about your situation; it’s been some time since November.

I have dealt with both. Remember to choose your focus… simply a sunny day, or who needs my help, or what do I choose to draw today. Focus on solutions. Yes negative feeling will try to creep in. I pray you can feel God’s love surrounds you like a gentle hug.

I’m in need of some support. I was recently diagnosed with herpes 2 days ago. I am struggling to keep it all together. I’m angry, I’m scared, I’m confused and I’m disgusted not only with my partner but with myself. Please help.

Amberr, not sure how this forum works, I just joined, but I’m in the same boat with you. I used to think of suicide only rarely. Now it’s become almost a daily thought. I just see no need to keep struggling with all of the hits that keep coming.
What is it that has brought you here, Amberr?
