Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a chronic condition which includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior. It is a disorder that makes it difficult for a person to pay attention and control impulsive behaviors they may also be restless and almost constantly active. Although the symptoms of ADHD begin in childhood, it can continue through adulthood. ADHD occurs more often in males. The primary features of ADHD include inattention and hyperactive-impulsive behavior. Adults with ADHD may have trouble managing time, being organized, setting goals, and holding down a job. They may also have problems with relationships, and self-esteem.
