Although the symptoms of ADHD begin in childhood, it can continue through adulthood. ADHD occurs more often in males. The primary features of ADHD include inattention and hyperactive-impulsive behavior. Adults with ADHD may have trouble managing time, being organized, setting goals, and holding down a job. They may also have problems with relationships, and self-esteem.
